Atlas Business Group ISO27001:2013 accreditation
On 25th January 2015 Atlas Business Group attained the ISO27001:2013 Information Security Management accreditation.
For Atlas this is recognition that we take security incredibly importantly. We have been externally audited by a recognised organisation and based against criteria of the ISO standard we are found to be compliant.
ISO 27001 is a security certification standard that has been developed to provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating and maintaining an Information Security Management System (ISMS). An ISMS is a systematic approach to managing confidential and sensitive corporate information so that it remains secure. This covers the people, the processes and the IT systems.
The standard covers areas such as Asset Management, Asset Register, Asset Classification, Asset Labelling, Access Control, User Registration, Password Management, Clear Work Environment, Operating System and Application Controls and Network and Security. Assets are not only physical, e.g, computers, servers, routers, switches etc but also includes software and most importantly data and the physical locations where that data may be stored, e.g. databases on servers in a heavily secured datacentre. Information and its underlying data are now widely considered to be one of an organisations most highly valued and sensitive assets.
We will also use these skills and knowledge in the day to day management of our actively managed clients ensuring that, for instance, your Active Directory and Network Security is aligned with the ideals of ISO27001
As a client to Atlas this will signify our commitment to you to manage your data and your systems using independently verified Industry Standard best practices, i.e. with security at the forefront of our minds, our polices and our processes.
